You’re fully booked. So why doesn’t it feel like success?

I want to tell you about a type of stuck that so many people never talk about.

Not the broke, panicking, can’t-pay-the-bills kind. The other kind. The kind where your diary is full, you’re delivering good work, people are getting results, and you feel more trapped than you ever did when you were starting out.

The ceiling no one warned you about. The invisible capacity line.

I work with coaches, therapists, service providers and wellness venue owners who are fully booked. They’ve got clients, they’ve got testimonials, they’re doing the thing. But something isn’t working. The money feels tight despite the diary being full. Every holiday, every sick day, every school play means the income stops. There’s no space to think. No space to grow. They’re working IN it, all day every day, and the actual business, the thing that should eventually work without them, NEVER gets built.

That’s not a motivation problem. It’s not even a strategy problem.

It’s a model problem.

The three things I see leaking revenue in almost every fully-booked practice or business:

  • Their pricing is built around what they thought clients would pay, not what the transformation is worth. There’s a ceiling baked in from day one and they don’t even know it’s there. But once you see it, you can't unsee it! what's worse - you should never be in your client's purse - what they can and can't afford is not your business. The only business you should be minding is literally your own.

  • Everything relies on them showing up. There’s no system catching leads when they’re not posting, no automation nurturing the people who aren’t ready yet, no infrastructure running quietly in the background. It is just you, your services and your laptop and when you aren't working neither is anything else.

  • They’re operating as a practitioner when they need to be operating as a CEO. The admin, the delivery, the client work, all of it takes priority over the thinking, deciding and building that would actually change things. And I get it, it take a real shift to start operating more like a leader in your business, but the truth is, if you can only trade your time for an hourly rate and cant shift out of ops mode....you have built yourself a job....not a business. And...to be fair you probably did not want to read that! (sorry, not sorry - someone has to tell you the truth and that is what I am here for)

None of the above are character flaws. They’re structural problems with a structural fix. But you have to be able to see the structure before you can change it and that’s almost impossible to do from inside the thing. Ever hear "cant see the wood for the trees"? No truer words are said when it comes to business. We are so "in" our businesses, not just operationally but emotional and usually financially invested too...so we struggle to see things logically at times.

Every month I run a free online session called CEO Hour for busy women in business who are ready to step into leadership and are sick of the daily grind inside their own business. One hour where coaches and therapists stop working IN the business and spend sixty minutes working ON it. We name what’s actually wrong, understand why, and leave with one committed action. Not a plan. A decision.

The next CEO Hour is Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 12pm GST. It’s free. Spaces are limited because the room only works when it’s small enough to be real.

If you want to go deeper before then, the Business Reality Audit (£97) is a 60-minute diagnostic session where I look at your actual business and tell you, clearly and specifically, what’s leaking revenue and what to fix first. Most people leave knowing things about their business they’ve been too close to see for months. Come as you are.

If any of this landed it was supposed to, and you have two clear options:

  1. Do nothing and stay exactly where you are, or...

  2. Take action. On your own, join free sessions or invest - wherever you are at - always choose to move.
